VGA

Introduction

VGA (Video Graphics Array) is the graphical standard for personal computer system, which mainly designed for the connection between computer and display device. VGA is widely applied as the video card’s interface, and become the most general standard of analog video signal. Currently, the connections between computers and monitors are still mostly relied on VGA interface; Computer processor will first digitize the video signal, and will be converted to analog by the video card. The conversion splits the video signal into 3 synchronal analog signals with the primary colors (Red, Green, Blue). After received the analog signals through the VGA cable, the processing circuit on the display device will decode the signals into images. For the digital display devices included LCD monitors and DLP units, it will be required the particular analog/digital converter to switch the signal into the display images.
